Lucky Irish silver coin

€149

A lucky Irish silver coin cast from an original old Irish Threepence or "Leat Reul". The coin features the Irish hare, a mystical animal said to bring luck in times of change. This unique Irish design is your own good luck charm, and a reminder of Ireland.

The hare is a symbol of mystery, positivity and prosperity. She is also linked to the moon and is a symbol of feminine power. It is believed that people who see the hare as their spirit animal are considered sensitive, artistic, and ambitious.

Wear yours as a lucky talisman every day. The Irish harp is featured on the reverse.

This is a sterling silver copy cast from a real old 3 pence that I found in a Galway market. The silver is then hard gold plated in 18ct gold. The solid gold version is cast from the original coin also.

The original coins were made in nickel, they ceased to be legal tender in 1971. My coin is the exact same size as an original old 3 pence at 17.7mm diameter and 1.9mm thickness.

Materials: Sterling silver on an 18 inch chain.

The gold plated and solid gold versions are available here.

Please get in touch if you would like a longer or shorter chain.

How to care for your Jewellery

Your Andrea Mears jewellery is made from a variety of metal alloys and plated finishes, as well as genuine Swarovski crystals and semi precious stones.

Owing to the nature of the materials and how its made, your antique finished pieces will all look slightly different and unique.

Remove your jewellery before engaging in activities where it could get accidentally damaged such as exercising or swimming.

Do not get your jewellery wet or expose it to household chemicals, makeup, creams, hairspray or perfume as they will damage the plating and cause tarnishing and discolouration. Put your jewellery on last after applying these.

Wipe your jewellery with a soft clean cloth after wearing and always store in its original box to protect from damage and discolouration caused by the environment or sweat.

Handle with care. Due to the delicate nature of some of the materials, stones and crystals used, jewellery can be easily damaged by dropping on a hard surface.
